My Busy Life

I've been pretty busy! We had a cool weekend and we went Whale Watching (one of my Christmas Presents!). We had a really good time doing that together. But, we're also really stressing out. We refinanced our house last summer to get the money that we need to build our garage and we're finding out that it still isn't enough. It's really stressful and we're trying to come up with solutions. We need the garage, but there are so many challenges to getting it done. It's so long in coming, but I want it right, too - not JUST done. That's one of the things about me. I always prefer to wait until I can have something right rather than getting something half ass. But, maybe this time I need to review that strategy because we seriously NEED the damned garage! I dunnooooo.... maybe we'll just invest our money in the stock market and hope we don't lose it all!!!

Ah well. This is life, huh?

The Tube

Did you know that I'm a TV junkie? I tried to sort of escape that some years ago, but over time what with the whole being married and commuting a zillion hours per day, I've become a total TV junkie. I mean I even have my fake tivo which FREAKING ROCKS. One thing that sucks majorly, though is ALL of my regular shows are on Thursdays!!! BLAH! Oh, and when nothing good is on the tube, I'm happy to watch ON DEMAND! YEA! I love my tv! HAHAHAHAHAHA

So, whether you like it or not. No matter what the hell you think of me, this is it... My life in Remote Control:

Watch, Love, & Don't Miss
Nascar Cup Races
(The Thursdays)
Survivor
The OC
My Name is Earl
Apprentice

Watch When I Can
ER (Love it, but RARELY see)
Jeopardy
Unwrapped
Curb Appeal
Iron Chef
Will & Grace
$40 A Day
Rachel Ray Tasty Travels
Designer's Challenge
Landscaper's Challenge
(anything on HGTV or Food Network)
STARZ ON DEMAND (better than HBO OR Cinemax!)

Shows I Think Sound Cool, But No Time
24
CSI
Veronica Mars
Reunion
Medium
Without A Trace
Law & Order

Mr. San Diego Tortures ME With:
FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL
Poker shows
(I know you'd think I would like those, but Ihate anything that's popular. haha)
The 100 Fill in the Blank (hottest hottie, metal moments, scandals of 2005... you get the picture)

I SOOOOOOO Miss:
Sex and the City
Six Feet Under

ARGH-O-RAMA

Who comes up withthese efficiency ideas, anyway? How many trees will we kill to run double payroll reports every two months? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? I know you don't know what I'm writing about, but trust me.... IT'S STUPID!

I really love my dumb job.

PDA

Joyce, it's a little handheld computer. =)

What Annoys Me

Remember when you used to be able to get on the internet and do things like search for people and FIND THEM!?!?! You cannot do this anymore. The only way to track down people anymore is to PAY and that just ticks me off. Why did this happen and more importantly, HOW!?!?! How did people bottle up contact information and make it immpossible to find people? I remember like 12 or so years ago when i found alumni.net and thought it would be cool to get people from myhigh school on it so that people could hook up. SO I did searches on people finders all over the internet and sent out zillions of emails to people who went to my high school - ANY YEARS - and told them about the free service. A LOT of people signed up on that site because of me and even some guy who had been friends with my brother emailed me to thank me for pointing him towards the site as it helped he and my brother get back in touch! It was very cool and not really hard, just a little time consuming. Now, though, even alumni.net charges for memberships along with Classmates.com and Reunion.com. But that's just the school sites. Try using people finders and they all direct you to pay sites that will give you (supposedly) anything you want to know about someone - as long as you pay. It just sucks. You just can't find people on the net anymore and that blows.

Just the whine of the day.

Hm.

I forgot what I came here to post because I noticed that my Photos! page showed it was updated yesterday. Except I didn't update even this page yesterday, so it's freaking me out. Why is it showing updated? I didn't see anything unusual on it or changed.... oh well, it looks okay, I guess.

So now that I have this PDA I guess I gotta figure out how to use it! heh I already synched up with my home computer and put my address book file that I use on it. It has a game on it to play. I want to figure out how to make it access the internet, though. I guess I'm going to have to read the book or something. heh And, I'm waiting to get permission from my computer person at work to make it "synch-able" to my work computer so I can get all the stuff off of my Outlook at work. Now I just need time to sit down and learn how to use it, I guess =)

Wow...today at work flew by. I was thinking that I was going to get to leave early, but now I realized that I have to go to pinball anyway, so not a LOT of point to leaving early. I dunno.... blah blah blah... nothing really important going on, is there?

So e had a talk on Friday night that went well and erased my sadness. I don't know why I let myself get psycho. Mr. San Diego really loves me and is sooooo sweet to me in so many ways. At midnight on New Years Eve at the party he played my favorite song! I didn't even ask him to and it's so not even like a song that everybody else likes! It was so nice of him. We had a really good weekend and he is really going out of his way to make me feel special. Maybe sometimes it is easy to fall into a slump and forget that you have to do those extra things for your partner and maybe he just needed a little nudge. So I nudged and he's really being a sweetheart. I'm happy again... see how easy that is? hehe

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
